1. Important notice
Food allergies can cause serious or life-threatening reactions. If you have a food allergy or other medical dietary requirement, contact the restaurant directly before ordering and explain your needs to restaurant personnel.
Do not rely only on an online item name, image, description, modifier, dietary tag, or automated ordering note to determine whether food is safe for you.
2. Restaurant-provided information
Restaurants supply or approve menu, ingredient, allergen, preparation, and dietary information displayed through the Platform. JHB Web Studio LLC, doing business as JoyMeetsTaste, provides technology and does not independently inspect ingredients, recipes, supplier labels, kitchens, or preparation practices.
Recipes, suppliers, ingredients, and preparation methods may change. Restaurants remain responsible for accurate required disclosures, appropriate food handling, and compliance with applicable food-safety laws.
3. Major food allergens
U.S. guidance identifies milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame as major food allergens. Other foods may also cause allergic reactions or intolerances. A list or icon addressing major allergens is not a guarantee that no other allergen is present.
4. Shared preparation and cross-contact
Restaurants may use shared kitchens, fryers, grills, utensils, storage, preparation surfaces, or supplier facilities. Cross-contact can occur even when an allergen is not an intended ingredient.
An item labeled vegetarian, vegan, gluten-conscious, dairy-free, or similar may still be exposed to ingredients that do not meet that preference or medical need. Confirm the restaurant's procedures before ordering.
5. Customizations and order notes
Removing an ingredient or adding an allergy note does not guarantee that a restaurant can accommodate a request or prevent cross-contact. Customers should speak with restaurant personnel and confirm that the restaurant has accepted the request before consuming the food.
6. Allergic reactions and emergencies
If you believe you are experiencing a serious allergic reaction, seek emergency medical help immediately and call 911 in the United States. JMT and online restaurant messaging are not emergency services and must not be used instead of medical assistance.
7. Questions and contact
Ingredient, allergen, and preparation questions must be directed to the restaurant using the contact details shown on its storefront.
