1. Scope
This Policy describes cancellation and refund requests involving orders placed through JoyMeetsTaste technology. JHB Web Studio LLC, doing business as JoyMeetsTaste, provides the Platform; the identified restaurant controls preparation, fulfillment, and its restaurant-specific customer-service decisions.
This Policy applies to every restaurant and customer using the Platform. It does not promise a refund in every case or override mandatory legal rights.
2. Restaurant policy controls
Refund and cancellation eligibility is determined by the restaurant associated with the order, subject to applicable law. Restaurants may consider whether preparation has begun, whether an order has been accepted or fulfilled, and whether an item or service failed to match what was promised.
A restaurant's policy cannot remove statutory rights or other obligations that cannot legally be waived.
3. Cancellation requests
Customers should contact the restaurant promptly using the contact information shown on the storefront or order confirmation. Sending a request through JMT does not guarantee that the restaurant can stop preparation, fulfillment, or payment processing.
There is no universal cancellation window. The restaurant's disclosed policy and the status of preparation and fulfillment determine available options, subject to applicable law. An order note or closing a browser does not cancel an order.
4. Refund requests
A restaurant may approve a full or partial refund based on its policy, order records, reported issue, and applicable law. The Platform may provide technical tools to record and submit an approved refund through the payment provider.
For electronic payments, a refund submission or pending status is not proof of a completed refund. Cash refunds are handled by the restaurant. Processing times after approval depend on the provider and the customer's financial institution; no fixed posting time is promised.
5. Payment responsibility
Payment methods and providers depend on the restaurant and enabled checkout. Contact the restaurant identified on the order or receipt about charges, partial or split payments, tips, service charges, and refund eligibility.
A QR code or printed payment request is not proof of payment. A clearly labeled test payment does not charge funds and cannot produce a real-money refund. Refunds of processed payments must be reconciled with the original transaction; requesting a receipt does not initiate a refund.
6. Order issues and evidence
Customers should provide the order number, restaurant, contact details, affected items, and a concise description of the issue. Customers should not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
The restaurant and JMT may retain order, communication, payment, and refund records as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to applicable retention requirements.
7. Payment disputes
Customers should first give the restaurant a reasonable opportunity to address a legitimate order issue. Nothing in this Policy prevents a customer from exercising rights available through a payment provider, card issuer, regulator, or applicable law. Fraudulent or knowingly false dispute submissions are prohibited.
8. Contact
Restaurant order support must be directed to the restaurant contact shown on the storefront or order confirmation.
