Terms of Use

These Terms apply to all restaurants and customers using the Platform, including websites, online and POS ordering, customer accounts, QR payment experiences, digital receipts, and restaurant operational tools provided by JHB Web Studio LLC, doing business as JoyMeetsTaste (“JoyMeetsTaste,” “JMT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Restaurant-specific terms displayed in a storefront or at checkout also apply to an order. If those terms conflict with these Terms about the restaurant's menu, preparation, or fulfillment, the restaurant-specific terms control for that order.

JoyMeetsTaste is a technology platform for restaurant websites, menus, online ordering, order status, and operations. Each restaurant controls its menu, prices, taxes, hours, availability, food preparation, fulfillment, customer service, and restaurant-specific policies.

The identified restaurant is responsible for preparing and fulfilling the order. JoyMeetsTaste does not prepare food and cannot guarantee that a restaurant will accept or complete every order.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account, place an order, or submit payment. You must provide accurate information and protect your account credentials.

You are responsible for activity through your account and for promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Menu information and availability may change. Before submitting an order, review the restaurant, items, modifiers, contact information, pickup or delivery details, and total. An order submission is a purchase request and does not guarantee acceptance or fulfillment.

Payment providers process payment credentials. JoyMeetsTaste does not store complete payment-card numbers in its application database. The restaurant's cancellation and refund policy, order status, and applicable law determine whether an order can be changed, canceled, or refunded.

Review taxes, discounts, service charges, and any tip before confirming payment. A service charge is not automatically a voluntary tip. Available payment methods and split-payment options depend on the restaurant and enabled integrations. A QR code requests a specific payment amount; displaying or printing it does not establish that payment was received. Clearly labeled test payments simulate a workflow and do not charge funds.

Offline devices and delayed synchronization can delay status and reports. Restaurants must verify confirmed payments before treating a balance as paid. Daily closeout and later reconciliation are operational records, not a guarantee of bank settlement. Restaurants remain responsible for reviewing cash counts, tips, employee time records, and required corrections.

If you separately check the optional text-message consent box at checkout, you agree to receive automated transactional text messages from the identified restaurant, powered by JoyMeetsTaste, about that order. Messages may include confirmation, preparation, pickup, and delivery updates. Message frequency varies with order activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. The checkbox is not selected automatically. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for help. Opting out does not cancel an order and does not prevent necessary service contact through other available channels. You are responsible for providing a number you are authorized to use.

You may separately request an email receipt or consent to one receipt text at the destination you provide. Receipt consent does not enroll you in marketing or unrelated order messages. A receipt text may contain a link to the itemized receipt. Keep payment and receipt links private: anyone with a valid link may be able to view the information it authorizes until it expires. Contact the restaurant if a link expires or delivery fails.

You may not:

• use the service for fraud, unlawful activity, or abusive conduct;
• interfere with service availability, security, or other users;
• attempt unauthorized access to accounts, stores, orders, or systems;
• submit false identity, payment, or order information; or
• copy, scrape, or reverse engineer the service except where law permits.

JoyMeetsTaste and its licensors retain their rights in the Platform software, branding, design, and original content. Restaurants retain responsibility for the names, logos, menus, images, and other materials they provide through the Platform. Restaurants must have the rights to the materials they upload and authorize JMT to store, reproduce, and display them to provide the service, including using the store profile logo on storefronts and printed or digital receipts. Replacing a logo does not alter receipts already issued or historical records.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that all restaurant information will always be complete or current.

To the extent permitted by law, JoyMeetsTaste is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Material changes apply prospectively after legally sufficient notice. These Terms are governed by New York law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
